Ferrari 360 Project Overview
Part 1 modeling
Some stuff I kept in mind while working at this
project:
create simple animation (about 500 frames) for my
demo reel considering some elements to be made while working at this
project like the beauty of the model, high quality materials and realistic
renders and I have to keep my render time under 2.30 min and my model
under 400K poly because of my hardware limitation and you will see though
my work that I worked really hard to achieve this goals
Modeling
Step 1
We are not going to go through the entire process
of modeling the car there is tons of tutorials online discussing this
issue but I'm going to view the main steps of building the car starting
with collecting every reference photo that I can find and we can do that
by going to google.com or if you can try to collect reference photo by
your self like I did as I went out to a guy at my town who has the Ferrari
360 and shooted some high quality reference photo trying to focus on the
details that I couldn’t find online like the headlights, some curves ,
backlights , interior, mirror, brakes and mufflers . In addition, I got
some serious library of photos for the car from almost every angle as I
tried to get as much reference photos concerning this car.
Step 2
Secondly, I got the blueprint of the car form
www.smcars.net accredit to Zizo

This is the good blue print containing the four
views for the car top ,left , front and back views .After testing the
blueprint and making sure it is aligned correctly in paint shop pro.
Finally started the 3dmax and setting up the blue print. For the details
about this process go to

Step 3
Expressing the modeling process will take a very
long time, so I thought it would be better to show some of it by pictures.
01 getting the general shape right

02 adding some details to the shape

03 adding symmetry modifier and cutting, detaching
some parts
